Q1: What can I cook with it?

Sand Casserole is a multi-purpose pot, suitable for cooking vegetables, fish, curry, meat, porridge, soup and more.

Q2: Is the ceramic pot safe to use?

Yes, it is safe to use. The pot is lead-safe and has passed proper export and import procedures in line with government safety guidelines.

Q3: How to wash the pot before first use?

You may follow the instructions below before using the pot:

1. Rinse the pot with water.

2. Dissolve 2 tablespoons of flour in hot water, or use rice washing water, then boil it in the pot for about 15 minutes.

3. Pour away the rice water and let the pot cool for a while.

4. Rinse the pot again with clean water.

Q4: How to remove sticky residue?

You can try boiling water in the pot for 10–15 minutes.
First, use high heat until the water starts to boil, then reduce to low heat and continue boiling for about 15 minutes.

After that, pour away the water, let the pot cool down slightly, and wash it. Then leave the pot to dry.

If the residue is not removed the first time, you may repeat the same boiling process a few times.

Q5: Can I still use the pot if it is burnt?

Yes, it is still safe to use as long as there are no cracks. You may use the boiling water method to help remove burnt residue.

1. After rinsing the pot, dry it with a kitchen towel before cooking. Start with a small flame, then gradually increase to medium or high for cooking.

2. Allow the pot to cool slightly before washing. (Tip: If you can hold the pot with your hands, it’s safe to wash.)

3. Leave the pot in open air to dry for a few hours after washing.

1. Do not heat the ceramic pot on high flame for a short period without any ingredients inside if the pot is still moist (empty heating). Peeling or cracking may occur due to uneven expansion and contraction.

2. Do not store the ceramic pot in a drawer immediately after washing. High moisture can cause mold growth.
